New York, USA – May 22nd, 2025 — Tourism content was once again at the forefront of audiovisual excellence at the Storytellers Gala, the virtual event that presented the winners of the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. Among the awarded entries were 16 tourism videos participating in the CIFFT Circuit, the global competition that defines the World’s Best Tourism Films of the Year.
Three productions stood out with Silver Awards: "Portugal’s Unwritten Recipe" by Tourism of Portugal (Portugal), "Uncover Your Wild Side" by Montenegro National Tourism Organisation (Montenegro), and "Would You Believe It?" from Campo de Gibraltar Municipalities (Spain).
The Bronze Awards were presented to four promotional videos: "Falling for Autumn" by Switzerland Tourism (Switzerland), "Portugal is Art" by Tourism of Portugal (Portugal),"Conil, where land and sea embrace." by Conil Tourism (Spain), and "NURI - The Secret of Nuri" by Nuri Conservas Pinhais Co. (Portugal).
A diverse group of entries were recognised as Finalists, including "Düsseldorf. More than a pitch" by Düsseldorf Tourismus (Germany), "Município de Vila do Bispo Campaign" by Vila do Bispo Municipality (Portugal), "Zagreb All-Inclusive" by the Zagreb Tourist Board and "Kaštela – A Taste of Perfection" by the City of Kaštela Tourist Board (Croatia), as well as "A Breathtaking Journey" by Visit South Zealand & Møn (Denmark).
Also recognised as Finalists were "Alps at their very best. Routine off. Relaxation on." by Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus (Austria), "The Liszki Commune: At the Heart of Tradition, in the Rhythm of the Present" by Liszki Commune (Poland), "Red Cherry" by Fundão Municipality (Portugal), and "Centro Danza Matadero" by Madrid Destino (Spain).
The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards, with over six decades of history, celebrates content across all platforms and genres. These achievements highlight the continued growth and creative strength of tourism in global advertising.
Since 1990, the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards have been a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and part of the CIFFT Circuit. The tourism winners at the festival also earned a spot in the CIFFT Rankings, bringing them closer to the title of World’s Best Tourism Film, awarded annually by CIFFT.
